1. Status of hardware,

Commissioning: EO CMW MU

  • cryostat status (& spares)
  • daresbury interlocks.
  • tracker daq/c&m systems

Most of the way there. There was a small change to the daq code to understand bad data and it seems to be working stabley including over the weekend. So DAQ now stable.
CandM production branch ready but switch over hasn't yet happened.
Need proper alarm handler for the Tracker but relies on state machines and CandM being ready.
Currently all cryostat data is not being archived. Pierrick and Ed working on it.
Vac gauges will be bought then fitted.
Vac gauges werent reading out in serial connection DS has now been fixed by enabling parity on the DS
Oxfords also weren't reading out but they now are.
No changes to the interlocks.

MICE hall, inc Services and requirements : CM, GB,

  • Helium filling and diffuser
  • Tracker lab.

One of the RH Cassette LH board on cryo 3 has a lot of bad channels and we could do with swapping out the boards.
Need to set up good board testing setup in the new year in the tracker lab.

2. Software: PK, AD, CHunt, CHeidt

  • CDB going in
  • Geometry,
  • Calibrations, Configurations
  • Monte Carlo

Position Flip is now fixed.
New geometry in CDB
Fibre definitions rewritten for MC.
Everything up to spacepoints look good
Spacepoints and track points look good in MC and data by considering straight tracks from TOF1-2 and looking at residuals, except
There appears to be a momentum flip but discussion is ongoing, as there is some confusion

Pattern Recognition - AD,
Looking good but Kalman looks to have some track matching issues.

Online Displays - MU
A lot of plots atm and some streamlining needed.

Performance and Analysis - PK

Tracker Software Paper and Documentation - AD, PK DR

3. Analysis of first data

4. Alignment
John N
Is making progress in Milipede and has run over data to look at US problems. He resolved that as it was due to a mismatch z positions making it loose the last station. Now the residuals look good US and DS.
He rerun with data taken in June number 7157 and internal and Tracker to tracker alignment look good but there are still some issues.

AoB
Next meeting will be a face to face at RAL to review the alignment and will occur out of sequence on the 21st Dec.

New Actions
  • Melissa to email colin about vacuum guages.
  • Ed to ask Craig about spares and email all with a list of what spares we have and what we need.
