Agenda and Minutes

Prev Actions:
DONE! Helium quantitative analysis and diffuser decision - MU
DONE! Cryo 3 - EO, AB, CMW
4 tested, no temp or bias calib as yet. Work to continue. Board testing in Tracker lab - EO

New Actions:
Look at first data - Melissa, Paul and Adam

1. Status of hardware,

Commissioning: EO CMW MU

  • cryostat status (& spares)
  • daresbury interlocks.
  • tracker daq/c&m systems

CRYO3 SWAP
Ed and Ao were doing a new calibration late last week, and spotted a particularly bad section (50 new bad channels) of cryostat 3, which has appeared since the warm up/cool down. Fortunately the channels are grouped closely together. Hence the idea to move the waveguides to a new connector, to avoid the bad channels on the board.

A waveguide swap to solve this problem happened this morning. Waveguide 29 was moved from the far right connector to the third from left. This relates to MCM8-MCM3, or in other words, WG 29 was connected to 5120-5183 and 6180-6143 and it has moved to 5440-5503 & 5760-5823. These channels are looking good so far and are currently being made light tight.

Mapping being changed by CHeidt and calib redone by Ed. Both will be checked with data and we should be ready to go by tomorrow.

This effects are in stn 1 plane 1

SPARE BOARD TEST STAND
Set up and being used
4 with good readout and firmware
Temp and bias calibration to come
Work will continue in around 1 month

MICE hall, inc Services and requirements : CM, GB,

  • Helium filling and diffuser
    Decision made, no diffuser changes
He leak not above background level at TOF PMTs so no risk there.
O2 in tracker DS measured before the bubbler to be 0.5% so that looks good (not too much air in the tracker).
Need to fix hall probe leaks with silicon etc.
  • Tracker lab.

First Data Analysis - ALL
  • Feb data taking analysis so far
Looks good from OnRec so far! DS tracker station 3 looks like its missing one side. DS S1 p1 is the problem. We will all look at data.4

2. Software: PK, AD, CHunt, CHeidt

  • Readiness
  • Validation script
  • CDB
  • Geometry,
  • Calibrations, Configurations
  • Monte Carlo
  • Pattern Recognition
  • Kalman
  • Online Displays
  • Performance and Analysis
