Date: 13th January 2014
Time: 16:00 GMT
Agenda and Minutes¶
0. Actions¶
- Create MICE note of channel mappings end-to-end through hardware, electronics and software - DA - Note prepared, needs DA, AD, MU to fill in sections.
- Dig up the old documentation for the electronics channel mapping - DA - Stands.
- Ask KL, AB, DA about whether it would be helpful to fit LED into TOF to help our timing - EO - Done.
- Create comparison plots for channel mapping data - CH - Stands, to be resumed.
- Visit AC Precision to make the new connectors for PP end of waveguides - GB - Replica of bore and tracker at Daresbury under construction for testing of installation. Should have more information Thursday.
- Move cryostat back to tracker lab - CM - Stands.
- Obtain survey data and place on tracker wiki - MU - Waiting on getting data.
1. DAQ/Calibration/Controls: DA, EO¶
Request put into FNAL PPD for personnel resources to complete 1) AFE Initialisation cleanup 2) Firmware installation 3) Timing electronics 4) Documentation and 5) Digitisation speed-up. Not clear that digitisation speed-up is required by the experiment. Development of CM code is underway.
1.1 MiniDAQ¶
- See presentation from DA
- MiniDAQ (separate from DATE) now done and tested on set up in tracker lab - DA
- Needs to be committed to the DAQ repository
- Still needs a full integration test with main MICE DAQ
1.2 Channel Mappings¶
- Check our channel mapping from end to end and make sure correct - DA, AD, ES, CH
- Dig up the old documentation for the electronics channel mapping - DA
1.3 Controls¶
- Create controls system - DA
2. LED: EO¶
- Finish main flasher unit - EO, CMacW Resin lab putting flasher unit together now.
- Make documentation mapping LEDs to areas of tracker illuminated - EO
- Ask KL, AB, DA about whether it would be helpful to fit LED into TOF to help our timing - EO
3. Tracker lab - AB, GB, CM¶
- Electronics operations shifted to Fermilab while DA is there
- CM wants to use tracker lab to store tracker equipment currently spread around RAL
- Move cryostat to go back to tracker lab. - CM
4. Installation¶
Installation manual underway, oritentation of internal waveguides connection needs to be included somewhere.
- Build tent in R9 - GB
- AFC2 will be going back to Tesla on Wednesday, after which we can start building the tent.
- Estimated time 1 week from today to get tent up and ready
- Want maximum of three days with tracker exposed in R9 tent
- Survey data
- Need to obtain survey data from M. Leonova - MU
- Store data sensibly (tracker wiki for now) - MA
- Survey of phi needs to be done by John Pallin - GB
- Finish installation manual - GB, AD
