Efficiency Meetings From 7-2-2017¶
Actions From 31st Jan:¶
Ed: Ongoing
1. Trims vs no trims at 3T
2. 4 tesla data
Paul and Adam:
1. Review pat rec code particularly sz.
2. return correct error propagation on pat rec.
3. add chris R correctly normalised Chi squared -
4. Check number df for straights and helices - DONE
5. Check chi sq plots look right
6. Check by eye
7. Add full 3D helix fit (using external code)
8. Finalise Efficiency analysis code
9. Add an efficiency test to integration tests - Paul - almost complete
Melissa: Ongoing
1. Improve efficiency algorithm using original method and varify results.
2. Compare efficiency calculations for consistency
3. Analyse fully the effect of road cut.
4. Redo efficiency for all runs based on the above
5. Consider how to implement scattering in the code
Paul and Melissa:
1. check local and global coordinates - will sit down at RAL Thurs or Fri.
Chris R:
1. Add PRY field map from Holger into MAUS and compare with hall probes
Chris H: ongoing
1. Momentum study
(2. MC - data comp)
Adam has made another revision of ndf code. We think ndf now ok. He has also corrected covariances for Kalman, work to integrate this is ongoing. He has considered he cuts vs efficiency and finds the best version, however this depletes the purity greatly. So the question is why does the chi sq look okay. Adam is investigating. He will also look into improving pat rec to let through less nonsense tracks. He is adding the relevant files to this page below.
Ed: work ongoing.
Paul: Thinks integration tests are okay and he is looking into where to permanently store the output. Decided to use heplnv.
Chris Hunt believes that everything has worked and he will send around details. Massive improvements to Kalman as a result of pat rec improvements ad bug fixes to the covariance matrix code. Momentum resolution now 1.5MeV in a uniform field.
Chris R: Work ongoing.
AOB: Chris has fixed the NaN bug in recon!
Next meeting will be a sit down over lunch at RAL on the first day of the collaboration meeting.
