Training Program¶
On training days a schematic of the training program is
For new shifters - this is the basic training schedule. However, note that times are approximate
and will change depending on circumstance, availability and Hall activity.
09:00 - Talk by Andy Nichols on Site and Hall Safety ( MICE Office Conference Room - R1 )
09:30 - Talk by MOM on Shift Duties ( MICE Office Conference Room - R1 )
10:15 - Meet at Hall. Pick up radiation badge and get access card authorised to access R5.2
10:30 - 13:00 - Hall walkthrough and PPS
14:00 - 15:30 - Beam and Target operation.
Control room Training : Includes new information needed for cooling channel operation, and special
training on the alarm handler. Can be largely done in the remote control room.

- Where Yes is entered in the tables below, it means that the shifter requires the full training course.
- If any shifter in the block needs to do the full course, then
it is assumed that those who need a reminder will also attend that course as well.
