Prerequisites¶
Preparations¶
Representatives from each sub-detector must be available and present at
RAL to ensure that their systems are running properly during the week before this test.
During this week will do individual tests of each of the systems. A preliminary plan is:
3rd March | Ensure that the trigger is ready, the control room systems are up and running and the controls are ready |
4th March | Test TOF |
4th March | Full system test |

- Aim of rotating the trigger is to check readout of each TOF detector with old and new trigger. Should be possible to at least check up to e.g. slab hits or uncalibrated space points this way.
- Sounds like TOF2 cannot be dealt with in this way.
- Check CKOV
- Note this will not check some of ToF2, KL, EMR, or Tracker systems.
Beamline tests¶
- Check to see if C&M is updating CDB okay
- Test RunControl Reference Run
- Test RunControl TEST Run
Detector and DAQ tests¶
- Power all detectors
- Power DAQ with new trigger, then old trigger (new trigger is priority now)
- Run online monitoring
- Run online reconstruction
- Check that online monitoring observes signals from Tof0/Tof1/CKOV
- Check that online reconstruction reconstructs data correctly
- Check that data mover moves data to GRID and offline reconstruction goes
