h2. The purpose of the run is to:
4
5
* Get the system to a state where ToF (and CKOV) Calibration data can be taken
6
* Take some TOF calibration data

28
h2. SOC Shifts
29
30
Chris Heidt will cover SOC
31
32
h2. Data Requested
33
34
* Reference Run: 6-200 setting w/out DS and PA at 29mm
35
* TOF Calibration setup and run
36
* Propose to use a pion+ run for data rate studies
37
38
h2. Beamline Configurations
39
40
* N.B. Decay Solenoid will not be available.
41
* We expect to be running with 2V beamloss and beam bump active.
42
43
h3. Preparation
44
45
* We will run beam into the hall so need to secure the MICE Hall
46
* Target needs to be ready
47
* BeamLine elements need to be ready
48
* Detectors need to be ready
49
* Controls needs to be ready
50
* DAQ needs to be ready
51
* OnMon and OnRec need to be ready
52
* Data Mover needs to be ready

54
h3. [[RunPlan20150318|Target tuning]]
55
56
# Will be carried out on Wednesday evening with Dean Adams
57
58
h3. Shifter target training
59
60
* at shift handover on Saturday - somewhere between 15:00-17:00
61
62
h2. DAQ testing
63
64
* The main goal of this run is the commissioning of the new trigger system, which requires a calibration of the Time-of-flight system..
65
* We will take data with TOF0, TOF1 and Ckov. This means that we will use only one LDC (VME crate).
66
67
# We will start with a standalone readout of the TOF0/1 crate. This will be used for detecting eventual problems and debugging. The beam line will be set for Reference Run without Decay Solenoid.
68
# When we are satisfied with the quality of the data, we will switch to the original DAQ system and will take date for ~500 target pulses.
