Prerequisites¶
Preparations¶
Representatives from each sub-detector must be available and present at
RAL to ensure that their systems are running properly during the week before this test.
During this week will do individual tests of each of the systems. I think, then,
that we should reserve a day for each of the subdetectors to make certain that they can
interface with C&M, and are ready to be placed into the full integrated test. A preliminary plan is

- Aim of rotating the trigger is to check readout of each TOF detector with old and new trigger. Should be possible to at least check up to e.g. slab hits or uncalibrated space points this way.
- Sounds like TOF2 cannot be dealt with in this way.
- Add in tracker LED pulsers to check that tracker is reading out okay with trigger system. This checks that the tracker is timed in correctly with the TOF1 trigger. Probably only want to check timing with TOF1 trigger. Question do we want to implement timing with other triggers?
- Note this will not check some of Ckov, KL, EMR systems.
Beamline test¶
- Try running C+M against production CDB
- Check to see if C+M is updating CDB okay
- Dip target enough times that the temperature is stable, say half an hour of dipping
- Run a couple of settings
- Insert all proton absorbers and no proton absorbers
- Insert all diffuser and no diffuser
Detector and DAQ test¶
- Power all detectors
- Power DAQ with new trigger, then old trigger (new trigger is priority now)
- Run online monitoring
- Run online reconstruction
- Check that online monitoring observes triggers from all detectors incl. tracker
- Check that online reconstruction reconstructs data correctly
- Check that data mover moves data to GRID and offline reconstruction goes
