Control Room FAQ¶

• There is a USB printer in the control room. To access it from the windows machine, there is a USB switch behind the 'Online Monitoring' machine which can select between machines. You can also plug in the USB cable to your laptop then switch to it.

TV monitor loop¶

• how to start it:
  • ssh epics@172.16.246.153
  • cd /home/epics/bin/
  • ./run_switchDesktop <seconds>

• how to stop it (from any machine):
  • telnet localhost 20000
  • ctrl+X
  • ctrl+Q
