Software & Computing Issues¶

• Software
  • Tracker:
    • NaN bug: bug identified, fix is not yet in MAUS
  • Global:
    • Track-matching performance is slow for multiple spacepoints/tracks
    • Not much room for improvement from J. Greis' study
    • DR looking into processing schemes that will preserve fast MLCR reco while also incorporating global matching
  • MC:
    • TOF bug fix: in digitization, could potentially affect ~75 ps discrepancy between truth/reco MC
      • bug fix not yet propagated into mainline trunk
    • G4BL generation of pion beam libraries blocked -- issues with very few pions getting through to TOF1/Tracker.
      • Need guidance from analysis -- while waiting for resource to address the pion yield, is it still valuable to go ahead and generate 'muon' libraries and push through simulations?

• Infrastructure
  • Survey from last run has been incorporated into geometry.
    • + a few other requests for extra virtual planes.

• Data processing
  • Automatic offline reconstruction with latest survey, calibrations
  • To-do: Reprocessing of earlier runs with latest patch **

• Personnel
  • DAQ head
  • Local DAQ expertise
    • EO & DR went through DAQ system in rack room
    • Further documentation on DATE implementation needed from YK
  • Geometry head
    • RB+DR interaction to document & detail geometry procedures has commenced.
