Software On Call

Software on-call person should be able to respond to problems with the MAUS software running in the control room. So on-call should:

  • Have access to control room machines at least via ssh. This requires:
    • An account on mousehole
    • Knowledge of the onrec machines' IP addresses
    • Knowledge on the correct logins and passwords
  • Be reachable by phone
  • Have a working knowledge of the online operation of MAUS
  • We can arrange training...

SOC Maintainer Tasks

  • The SOC maintainer is usually the head of MAUS
  • Maintain an up to date, password protected, list of Software-On-Call experts + contact details (like the MICE expert list)
  • Request/chase volunteers for SOC during each user run
  • Keep an eye on skills/training requirements for SOC
