Standing Actions from previous meetings

  • ACTION: Improving TRACKER Geometry description - fibres outside fiducial region (Heidt)
    • STANDS
  • ACTION: Victoria Blackmore to implement magnet field map interface (Victoria)
    • STANDS
  • ACTION: Ruslan to provide relation between survey points and centre (?) first EMR plane
    • STANDS
  • ACTION: RYAN to provide interface to fit for best detector positions, given survey points, to place all volumes.
    • DONE - Needs detector responsible sign off on relation between survey nests and detector
  • ACTION: Ryan to udpate MAUS USER GUIDE
    • IN PROGRESS
  • ACTION: Ryan to investigate how to reduce geometry load-time
    • IN PROGRESS - Provisional success for geometries without overlapping volumes.
  • ACTION: Jason to provide CAD drawings for STEP V and VI
    • OBSOLETE
  • ACTION: PRY plates to be incorporated in TOF1, TOF2 shielding for STEP IV (JASON). This replaces the TOF cages which should not be used.
    • STANDS (additional shielding may be needed for TOF1)

Notes

  • New version of STEP IV to CDB with anomalous windows removed (aluminium). The elements of interest have been commented out. These are two windows in the AFC and one asymmetric window in the upstream tracker solenoid (used old version of CAD model June 2013). These should have been corrected in the last version of the CAD model but not checked yet. Jason: the AFC model for Liquid Hydrogen absorber contains two vacuum windows in addition to the LH2 containment windows, which should be part of the absorber description
  • Modularisation has progressed: cooling channel manipulated as one object, each quadruple triplet as another one, then dipole
  • Geometry release: preproduction server does not seem to work, can upload but not download geometry (email software people) Circumvented for the time being
  • Validation plots stored in http://micewww.pp.rl.ac.uk/projects/maus/wiki/Validated_geometries
  • Future work: implement gdml parser and use latest CAD model by Jason
