Physics shifter report (from C. Rogers)

  • Following various studies and discussion at CM49, current working
hypothesis is that the "50 MeV/c" momentum bump arises from changes to
the track fitting. This represents about 10 % inefficiency in TKD. It is
probably not related to hardware issues.
  • Chris Hunt (who is the present physics shifter) did the study that
demonstrated SSD M2 had incorrect polarity. I don't know if he has
checked for the current settings that were in on Sunday.
  • I did have a quick look at some data from Sunday morning and I didn't
see any problems, beyond the known issues.
