Description

Running into trouble compiling maus_latest_release of 23 December 2011 02:35 on Ubuntu 11.10 x86:

1) Root complains (see attachment) about undefined references. This is a known issue in v.5.30, documented here: http://root.cern.ch/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=13341. One page down the discussion thread there is a proposed workaround that seem to work:

make LDFLAGS="-Wl,--no-as-needed"

2) Now I'm stuck with a different problem at the very end of the compilation process (see attached install_log_* files). Any suggestions?

I'm afraid the build is known to fail on ubuntu - it's a problem with ROOT among other things, it doesn't agree with ubuntu. For now, I recommend against using ubuntu until ROOT gets fixed and we have time to bring in whatever version to our build scripts...
