Description

Port TOF track reconstruction to MAUS.

Tasks:
  • Look at track reconstruction for the TOF code in G4MICE Applications/Step1Reconstruction/Step1Reconstruction.cc
  • Make geometry soft coded
  • Make calibration soft coded
  • Remove ROOT stuff and use new Json persistency tree

TOF reconstruction code:
http://micewww.pp.rl.ac.uk/projects/g4mice/repository/entry/Applications/Step1Reconstruction/Step1Reconstruction.cc

Quadrupole models and iteration routine:
http://micewww.pp.rl.ac.uk/projects/g4mice/repository/show/Applications/common/include

Converter from reconstructed data file format to ROOT tree:
http://micewww.pp.rl.ac.uk/projects/g4mice/repository/show/Applications/Step1Ensemble

Have a look at MICE notes by Mark Rayner, for example:
http://mice.iit.edu/micenotes/public/pdf/MICE0338/MICE0338.pdf

Workflow is:
  1. Step1Ensemble ... calls basic Tof Reconstruction to make space points and converts to ROOT
  2. Step1Reconstruction ... does Tof tracker reconstruction
  3. Step1Optics ... does some accelerator physics routines

Yordan now has a prototype TOF reconstruction so I think we can move forward with this... are you still active on it Galina?
