If you set VerboseLevel 0 it should make a mangled stack trace (requires gcc). I will have a look though - probably means somewhere the json stuff is mangled.

For me simulate_mice.py doesn't do anything yet until I've had a look at it. I'm working through the simulation stack, I haven't got to the user level executables yet.

well, it's closed. I had the variable name wrong in bin/simulate_mice.py
