Description

The extracted values of chi-squared for 'SciFiHelicalTrack's are negative.

It seems PatRec sets the value to -1.0 on creation and doesn't update the property to the correct value.

The values of chi-squared for the circle and lines fits are correct.

I'm looking at this at the moment so I will just fix it so that the global chi-squared is the sum in quadrature of the component chi-squareds.

Yes, this is expected behaviour. The full chisq is to be taken from a final full least squares helical fit in pattern recognition. This was never implemented (I suspect we won't in the future, but it remains possible if we would like too). Hence the nonsense value of -1 to indicate it is unset. If you like to set it using the method you describe however, that is fine by me.
