Description

The rear door to the Q123 MPS rack should be closed to keep people away from the conductors, but the power cables and water hoses are a tight fit.
Martin Hughes has expressed mild concern regarding the resulting stress put on to the power supply terminals - I asked him as some of the terminals are seriously offset from the apertures in the rear of the chassis (see picture below).

It might be straightforward to replace the current flat rear door with a dished or convex version giving a couple of inches of extra space.

It actually doesn't need much more than an inch.

Looked at it today with Andy Gallagher - options are change door, modify door ourselves or change the cable connection lugs.

I believe modifying the connections to include a 90-deg. bend is the favoured option.

I did find a couple of metal cowl things that could be used to modify the door to leave more room, but we never got round to this. (They are still hiding behind the D1 supply.)
