Description
I notice that the data produced by the tracker MC is very "clean" compared to cosmic data. In cosmics we tend to get quite a few random spacepoints appearing which do not form part of a track, whereas this is absent in the MC. I'd like to able to test the tracker recon in a harsher environment. Is it possible to implement noise (both correlated and uncorrelated) in some sort of way in the MC?
Last revision adds noise from secondary particles. The noise we can't introduce for now is the one coming from electronics.
This has been assigned to me? Should it go on Santos or Chris Heidt rather? Is it closed (or at least awaiting merge)?

Have reassigned to Ed for now. Depends who is responsible for adding electronic noise into the MC?
It's detector dependent isn't it? i.e. TOF noise will look presumably completely different to tracker noise (and different things to test). So up to detector owners.
Very well, leave it with us then. Ed, what's the problem with adding electronic noise?
- Assignee changed from Santos, Edward to Heidt, Christopher
Chris has agreed to take this on.
